Ambiorix Martinez was born in the Dominican Republic. He was awarded a degree in advertising from the UCSD University in Santo Domingo. He then went on to work with some of the country's most important advertising agencies and representatives, including Leo Burnett, Oveja Negra/TBWA, Cumbre Saatchi Saatchi and Interamerica Lowe Lintas, among others.
